Day 1, Saturday - Arrival Venice, Italy
Your ship is docked at the Venice Maritime terminal and ready for embarkation between 3:30-6:30 PM. Sail at 7:00 PM for Zadar, Croatia. Evening welcome cocktail and orientation. Overnight Athens. (D,O)
Day 2, Sunday - Cruise Zadar, Croatia
Arrive 7:00 AM. Known today as “Treasure City”, Zadar once was a dominant city of the Adriatic region. Arrive in Zadar, the oldest Slavic city on the Adriatic coast, and proceed on a full day excursion to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. The park's scenery includes 16 terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation with a winding trail that puts in contact with this incredible nature. Upon return to Zadar, orientation tour of the city includes the Roman Forum, the Cathedral and St. Donat Church. Depart 6:00 PM. (B,L,D,O)
Day 3, Monday - Cruise Ploce and Korcula, Croatia
Arrive 7:00 AM in Ploce, one of the youngest towns in Croatia. From here, drive through a marvelous gorge of the Neretva River to visit Mostar, a city in Bosnia and Herzegovina named after its 16th century Old Bridge and the towers on each side. Depart 3:00 PM and sail to the beautiful island of Korcula, according to a local tradition, a birth place of a world explorer Marco Polo. Day 4, Tuesday - Cruise Kotor, Montenegro
Arrive 9:00 AM in Kotor, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, after having cruised to the end of the deep, rugged Kotor Bay with breathtaking fjords. An excursion to the scenic Montenegrin Riviera includes a visit to a lively town of Budva and a unique city-hotel Sveti Stefan located on a small island. Departs 10:00 PM. (B,L,D,O)
Day 5, Wednesday - Cruise Dubrovnik, Croatia
Ship arrives 7:00 AM in the morning in Medieval city of Dubrovnik. In the 7th century, this wallked city guard the coastal approaches by invaders of the Croatian kingdom. Entering the gates of this over 1000-year old architectural marvel is like a step back in time. Your walking tour of the Old Town including the Rector’s Palace, the Church of St. Blaise, the fountain of Onofrio, the Franciscan Monastery, housing one of the oldest pharmacies in the world, and the Synagogue. Day 6, Thursday - Cruise Pula, Croatia
Arrive to Pula at 12 Noon. You'll enjoy a walking tour of this 3000 year-old town where among other sights, includes a visit to the Arena, the 1st century well-preserved Roman Amphitheatre still in use today. Around the Old Town you will experience the spirit of its Roman, Byzantine and Venetian periods. Enjoy the Romanesque portals and Gothic sculptures while you step back in time. Depart 11:59 PM. Day 7, Friday - Cruise Koper, Slovenia and Venice, Italy
7:00 AM arrive in Koper, coastal town and largest commercial port in Slovenia. Take a walking tour through the Old Town and admire the 15th century Praetor's Palace in Venetian Gothic style, the 12th century Carmine Rotunda church, and the Cathedral of St. Nazarius with its 14th century tower. Continue to Postojna, home to one of the largest caves in Europe, and tour this fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric train. Depart 2:00 PM to sail back to Venice for overnight onboard. Day 8, Saturday - Venice, Italy and Bled, Slovenia
Disembark after breakfast and begin a walking tour of Venice featuring the major highlights: St. Mark's Square, St. Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace, the Bell Tower and the Bridge of Sighs. In the afternoon, travel north to Slovenia and its beautiful Alpine lake resort Bled. Dinner at your hotel and overnight. (B,D,O)
Day 9, Sunday - Bled, Slovenia
Breakfast at your hotel is followed by a sightseeing tour of Bled features the charming town with the lakeshore, and imposing 10th century Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. Balance of the day is at leisure for optional activities, such as visiting the old church on a small island in the middle of the lake by gondola. The church houses a collection of a religious art and the superstitious "wishing bell". Be sure to try the specialty pastry of the region - creme schnitzel. (B,O)
Day 10, Monday - Vienna, Austria
After breakfast, depart to Vienna, also described as Europe's cultural capital, is a metropolis with unique charm, vibrancy and flair. (B,O)
Day 11, Tuesday - Vienna, Austria
After breakfast at your hotel, you depart on a morning sightseeing tour. Included is a visit to Hofburg Palace, once the seat of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and view the Belvedere Palace, Prater amusement park, the UN buildings, St. Stephen's Cathedral and other vivid reminders of the city's imperial history. Tonight, you'll feast on a traditional Heurigen dinner with wine and entertainment in the charming suburb of Neustift. (B,D,O)
Day 12, Wednesday - Depart Vienna
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
